For a snack later in the morning I made myself a banana-kale smoothie with a little bit of apple juice to cover-up some of that grass taste. I know I know, that's sugar that I shouldn't be having, but you know what? I have to do this in baby steps. Cutting out grains will be a big big change for me. I love bread, cake, rice, noodles - ughhhh. So I'll cut down on my sugar but I don't think I can cut it cold turkey. I need to keep my sanity.
I packed away some of the smoothie for breakfast tomorrow when I go to work.
For dinner I plan on having some halibut with a side of asparagus and spinach. Photos to follow when it happens.
So far so good. No crazy cravings or anything like that.
I will skip exercise today, however. I coached my boyfriend through the Disneyland Half Marathon yesterday and hurt my foot in the process. I usually run significantly faster than he can (since he didn't train) so I had to adjust my speed and gait and had to run unnaturally. Oh the things you do...

Dinner Update:
Since the fish didn't defrost in time I had sauteed veggies (asparagus and spinach with some garlic powder, black pepper, thyme and raw onions), mushrooms, and ground turkey (with chili powder and black pepper) for dinner.
It was filling enough but I can't help but feel that the meal would have been a lot more satisfying with a side of rice.
:(
