I started off my day with a breakfast made up of a hard boiled egg, a cup of coffee, and a kale-banana smoothie with a bit of apple juice.
Although I did add sugar and cream to my coffee, it was a quarter of what I usually would add. Baby steps.
I had a snack around 11am of the sauteed veggies left over from last night's dinner. (Asparagus = stinky pee)
For lunch, out of habit, I went to Chipotle. Instead of my usual burrito bowl with white rice, veggies, chicken, and hot sauce, I subbed the rice for lettuce instead. Everything else remained the same. Although, at the end of it, I wasn't as full as I usually would have been, it didn't taste half bad (but boy do I miss that rice).
And for dinner, I put my boyfriend/roommate Joe in charge of cooking the halibut that had finally decided to defrost. Leave it to a boy to cook and what does he do? Fry the shit out of the fish. I personally prefer my fish steamed or boiled because I like the texture but he just....pffffttt...fried the living crap out of it. So in attempt to balance out the overly salted and dried fish, I steamed some cauliflower with a bit of raw onions and a dash of soy sauce for taste (mostly for Joe).
As for exercise for today, my left foot is still giving me trouble. I was hobbling around all day but as of now in the wee hours into the night, it feels a bit better. I can/should fit in a gym session tomorrow night. I'll lay off the leg work for now and focus on my upper body and core until my foot heals up. We shall see!
Until next time.
